Bio
Dominique Fayad is a contemporary artist, printmaker, and painter whose work bridges cultures and disciplines. Born in Beirut and currently based between Paris and Washington, D.C., she draws on a rich multicultural background shaped by her upbringing in France and Lebanon, as well as extensive international travels. These experiences have profoundly influenced her creative vision, allowing her to engage deeply with the art and craft traditions of diverse cultures, which she thoughtfully weaves into her practice.

Her distinctive approach combines traditional etching and intaglio techniques with a unique manual printing process on genuine gold leaf, layered translucent Japanese paper, and texture transfers of botanical materials collected worldwide. Inspired by the craft and symbolism found across various regions, her work creates a vibrant dialogue between cultural heritage and personal expression, pushing the boundaries of contemporary printmaking while exploring the complexities of cultural identity.

Fayad discovered her passion for etching at Discover Graphics Atelier in Alexandria, VA, where she was captivated by the depth and possibilities of printmaking. She further honed her skills at the Manhattan Graphics Center and the EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City, where she also served as a teaching assistant in the fall of 2019.

Committed to expanding her artistic practice, she actively explores new techniques, formats, and collaborations that resonate with collectors, galleries, and institutions seeking work that balances craftsmanship with conceptual depth.
Dominique Fayad's artwork has been exhibited in numerous gallery shows and international art fairs, including Art on Paper New York, Paris Print Fair, World Art Dubai, and the Salon des Beaux-Arts. Her work is represented by Michele Mariaud gallery in New York and Galerie Sagot - Le Garrec in Paris, and is held in private collections across Paris, New York, Washington D.C., Canada, Beirut, Dubai, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Geneva.
