Working with Natural Material

Drying plants

The natural material that I use in my prints is gathered from all over the world.  I often select elements that characterize the botanical identity of cities I visit or live in. It sometimes travels with me before being carefully prepared and selected in my home studio. This process can take up to several weeks during which the flora will slowly dry flat, change colors and shapes, become very delicate, fragile, and may sometimes be beveled to get ready for the etching press.
